AN AWESOME YEAR FOR FILM Part 2

So let's get straight back to my look through the big screen productions for 2010. Some massive ones yet to come.

Salt / 20.8
Another CIA-based action thriller. I say 'another' but I reckon it will be pretty special considering Angelina Jolie plays the lead role. She's obtained a great status in the action genre, having proven herself in the TOMB RAIDER series, MR & MRS SMITH and WANTED. Apparently Tom Cruise pulled out of the film in mid-2008, but that just means more Jolie time. I'm cool with that.

Green Zone / 12.3
Matt Damon plays a US Army officer hunting for Weapons of Mass Destruction. Again, his films never disappoint and I'm a huge fan. With Paul Greengrass directing, the 'BOURNE' team is reunited and I think we can anticipate something great.

Alice in Wonderland / 05.3
Tim Burton directs this recreation of the beloved fairy tale, but the twist is that this is set 10 years ahead of the original time. Sounds interesting. It could work or it couldn't. Yeah. Starring Mia Wasikowska, Johnny Depp, Anne Hathaway, Stephen Fry.

Shanghai / xx.4
Set in the 1940s, a few months before Pearl Harbor, this story revolves around an American expat returning to Shanghai due to the death of his friend, only to realise that his government is hiding a huge secret. Looks really engaging with plenty of suspense. Starring John Cusack, Ken Watanabe, Gong Li, Yun-Fat Chow.

Step Up 3D / 06.8
The third of the series, Disney continue to make this low cost high reward dance film. And in three dimension this time, this is definitely one that will get you moving. Starring Adam Sevani, Alyson Stoner, Rick Malambri, Sharni Vinson.

Get Me To The Gig / 11.7
It's a spin-off from FORGETTING SARAH MARSHALL, which I thought was pretty funny (the film, not the fact that it's a spin-off), and it's about a driven young student who works as an intern at a record company. A host of musicians are lined up to appear including P!nk, Christina Aguilera, P.Diddy and Katy Perry. Starring Russell Brand, Jonah Hill.

More to come guys, stay tuned..
