CHARLENE SORAIA NEW ALBUM MOONCHILD

Alternative folk singer/songwriter Charlene Soraia of London is releasing her debut album tomorrow entitled "Moonchild". She's been in the limelight in recent weeks thanks to her beautiful cover of The Calling's "Wherever You Will Go", which was of course the tie up track for that Twinings ad. But I remember downloading her song "Daffodils" back in 2008 as iTunes' free download of the week. I hadn't heard much of her since then, but she's in full motion this month, with announcements of her first headline tour for 2012 as well.

She's got a wonderfully soothing voice and soft style that you can't help but be drawn into. There's just something about female artists of this genre in general that I really enjoy listening to. Adele, Birdy, Carla Bruni, Ellie Goulding, Rumer, the list goes on but they've all got it. Makes for quite a playlist I know. I can't wait to hear the full album, it should be great.
