NIKE DUNK HI AC SUMMER '12

Made of this nice deep blue canvas upper, the new Nike Dunk Hi AC arrives for summer. Fitted with round brown laces and matching tonal eyelets, it looks a very strong edition of the ever-popular high top silhouette. The gum tips on the clean white outsoles absolutely nail it, finishing the sneaker with a great balance, one that I've not seen too often. A very solid drop.

NIKE AIR MAX 1 PREMIUM SUMMER '12

Set for release this summer are these hot Air Max 1s by Nike. It follows the Safety Orange colourway unveiled a couple weeks back in the Hazelnut collection, this time sporting an all black upper in suede with leather details matching the brown outsole and tongue label. I quite like the classic style and the colours go well, a refreshing look from all the white outsoles around these days. With clean white highlights in the swoosh and top eyelet, it looks to be a solid release adding to the popular Air Max series.

NIKE x UNDERCOVER GYAKUSOU SPRING 2012

Undercover's Jun Takahashi continues his work with Nike for their collaboration project GYAKUSOU for the fourth season, and with its release only days away, we've been given a detailed look of the collection, topped off with this campaign video unveiled earlier today. I admire how the products reflect strongly on the actual beauty of running itself, the surroundings in which we do it and what the exercise represents through our lives. Of course, that combined with Nike's leading innovations results in a high performance, design-enhanced range.

For Spring 2012, womenswear is introduced for the first time and the video clearly distinguishes the varying cultures between running for each gender, taking on the concept of Yin & Yang, light and dark. Colour is always at the forefront of the collection and this season is no different with some stunning blends involved. The Helvetica print is slightly uninspiring, but it is overall another strong and outstanding set of running gear, soon to be available in retailers. As is the Undercover collab with Uniqlo remember, something I'm personally looking forward to a bit more.

NIKE SB BLAZER ELITE CLASSIC CHARCOAL

Part of a collaboration with Lance Mountain, this is the newly released Blazer Elite by Nike SB. The "Classic Charcoal" model features premium leather upper, nubuck suede details and Zoom Air insole, which has a pool print in reference to the pool service pack. The golden hop stitching contrast nicely with the dark rugged look, as does the cream white outsole. I'm a fan.

NIKE BLAZER MID WOOL

Available now, perfectly suited for the dwindling cold season, are these wool Blazers. Nike's iconic mid top has been given the Vacuum Technology and comes in a dark grey premium wool upper with tonal swoosh branding and perforated leather inner lining. Placed atop a light grey outsole, the resulting silhouette has a clean and contemporary look that's very slick and presentable. The dotted woven laces add a nice touch too. A pretty solid bit of footwear.

NIKE SB ERIC KOSTON 1 VINTAGE GREEN

Released this week is this new Vintage Green colourway of the simple and elegant skateboard sneaker Eric Koston 1. Paired with a metallic silver swoosh, the model is made of a suede upper and clean white outsole. Once you nail a sneaker's silhouette, they become very fun and easy to be creative with, matching various colours for varying seasons, and the Nike SB lineup has achieved just that with the Janoskis and these Kostons in my view. Any colour, any time, chances are I'll like it. Vintage Green is nice.

NIKE AIR MAX 90

We've seen a resurgence of Nike Air Max 90 over the last year, and it seems as though the hype will only grow bigger as we move into 2012. I wasn't so sure what all the fuss is about though, as a fan of all things clean and simple, the Air Max for me has too much going on with its layers, textures and colours. However, I am also a fan of all things burgundy. And having just spotted this, I am in love! It's a wine red colourway from the Medium Grey range, from which we saw the Volt last week, blocked with flash yellow. But this burgundy colour is so perfect, complimenting the navy, white and main man medium grey excellently. It's a colour scheme that fits the palette of a certain blog... I'm led to believe these sneakers comes out soon, and I want it.

NIKE SB STEFAN JANOSKI MID PREMIUM INUIT

Another new year is around the corner and the upcoming releases are starting to appear. Nike SB are of course one of them having unveiled a bunch of January drops, but this particular one looks special. It's the Stefan Janoski Mids in a premium navy leather with some significant features. The faux fur lining and D-ring eyelets bring influences of a winter snow boot, and the brown highlights match elegantly. Finished with a white swoosh and outsole, it makes for an excellent Janoski sneaker with its typical urban lifestyle comfort but the look has an added sophistication that really works.

NIKE SB STEFAN JANOSKI MID PREMIUM BROGUE

Unveiled this week was another drop by Nike SB Zoom for their perfect Stefan Janoski shoe. This time, it's the mid-top quickstrike silhouette, coming in a chestnut brown colourway, made with premium leather and featuring the focus element of perforated brogue detail. The formal touch makes the already very versatile sneaker even more suitable for every occasion and it fits really well with the Janoski model. I hope the new feature will reappear in drops to follow, because this would look sexy in a darker tone of brown and I'd love to see a solid black option too. For now though, these babies are set for release next week.

NIKE SB ZOOM ERIC KOSTON DARK OBSIDIAN

Following on with the closer looks at Nike SB's November release, here is the popular Eric Koston sneaker in dark obsidian. It has a deep blue suede upper, also highlighted subtly on the underside of the sole, with daker tone swoosh and stitching. A great shoe given a great colour in my opinion, but I'd probably replace the laces with something a little more vivid, perhaps a bright-ish indigo.

NIKE SB ZOOM STEFAN JANOSKI UMBER BROWN

Here's a look at the new Stefan Janoski from Nike SB's November 2011 drop. These are made from premium suede in a brown colourway with some deeper accents and contrasting clean white laces and sole. With such a sweet silhouette it's very hard to get the Janoski wrong I think, and I've looked at all the editions of late and they all look really good. And of course they're functionally highly acclaimed too, not that I would know as I'm no skater, but it's a great shoe. The November release also includes an all black leather version of the mid tops too. They're available to buy now.

NIKE SPORTSWEAR EKIDEN COLLECTION

Ekiden races are big events in Japan, where university students compete in long-distance running, and the whole country gets heated. It's just guys running for like two mornings though. Not my thing really.

Nevertheless, Nike Sportswear have presented this sweet Holiday package for the runners, including these killer shoes, five colourways of the Lunarspider R 2. I think they're inspired by the participating universities' colours and the collection also includes some slick apparel too. So next time, they may still only be running, but at least they look good.

NIKE AIR ROYAL MID KNIT

Nike Air release these Autumn/Winter sneakers for the Holiday 2011 collection, suede and wool "knit" Royal Mids. The silhouette of the shoe is great, and I think they've used suede in all the right places, swoosh looks sweet. The wool upper seems a neat idea and a literally warm concept, though perhaps it leans over to the boundaries of the average high street chav a little too much for my comfort. Certainly looks better in black I feel. So I might pass on the wool but I'll be on the lookout for other Royal Mids in the future.

NIKE SB PAUL RODRIGUEZ

Browsing through my over-over-overdue feeds, this new update of Nike SB's Paul Rodriguez was something to stand out for me. It's already available and comes in two other colourways but this simple black and white model pictured is really strong, despite some comparisons to the Eric Koston which I'm not going to disagree with. But this P-Rod silhouette has a good solid build and it's layered nicely, I like it. White swoosh on the matte black is sexy as.

NIKE SB STEFAN JANOSKI OLIVE GREEN

Here's a new colourway for August 2011, available in the Janoski Mids which debuted earlier this year. Coming in olive green, black and brown highlights plus the white sole, sure it reflects the in-between-ness that August brings in terms of the awkward crossover from summer to autumn. Remember, I love the Stefan Janoski silhouette and I'm still hunting for my perfect pair, but something about this latest version looks too much like an insect. It might be the brown eyelets, I'm not sure. The shoe with the olive lacing looks slightly less bug-like I suppose, but nevertheless I hate creepy-crawly shit and these kicks fail to help me forget that. Not my favourites.

NIKE AIR RALSTON MID LITE TZ

Available in August, this is a top combination of Nike's ability to provide comfort technology and the appropriate design for an urban lifestyle. Nike Sportswear present these Ralston Mids, which includes Nike Air innovation for light and comfortable use, showcased in a classic desert shoe made with a premium suede upper. It comes in three simple and timeless colourways, both offering a traditional and assured addition to our footwear collections for daily use in the modern day. It's cool.

These are cool. Out July 2011.

BEFORE AND AFTER RONALDO

Brazilian superstar Ronaldo retired from football back in February this year, after having an incredible career, highlighted most significantly by his 3 World Cup winners' medals. He featured in what was his final match for Brazil yesterday against Romania, where he received a touching send-off by supporters all round.

Nike Football have now released this short video entitled "Before & After Ronaldo" and it's pretty sweet. Shows just how influential this man has been. Though I'm not sure about that ridiculous haircut.

NIKE SPORTSWEAR HACHI FALL 2011

Nike Sportswear brought the brand new Hachi model for SS'11 in what I thought was a hideous blue silhouette which I'm sure you can google. But this new black/beige colourway for the autumn looks all right. I like the shape of this mid top sneaker but the layering of the suede isn't so cool, I'd prefer a cleaner look. Guess it does the job though, another simple lifestyle shoe.

NIKE SB STEFAN JANOSKI PREMIUM WOODGRAIN

Oh wow. I'm not sure what this upper's made of but you can see what it's inspired by. Is it incredibly cool or does it look a bit cheap? Think I'm gonna sleep on it.
