WESC WINTER 2011 LOOKBOOK

2011 has been a pretty sweet year for WeSC, their collection has expanded while their website was revamped now including their own webstore. They've also got their range available in more retailers worldwide so it's been a great year of growth for the brand. Of course, they first released their footwear collection one year ago and the rest of the apparel has impressed too. And they finish this year with a debut video lookbook showcasing their Winter '11 collection. The lookbook's a bit long, but they have some nice gear for the winter season. I quite like the slim fit Nille Dark Navy jacket which features some crafty leather and cord details. Made from melton wool, it's a cool €400. Celebrating the weekend however, they're doing free shipping today and tomorrow so it might be worth having a look.

WESC FOOTWEAR DEBUT

This is the debut collection of footwear from Swedish retailer WeSC. Introducing their shoe line for the very first time for Spring 2011, I've chosen to include the Clopton Lo Raisin and Hagelin Mid Top sneakers. I'm impressed by the high standard of quality that they're made of, and actually they look smart, trendy and well-finished.

There's more in the range and they are available already online and in store I think. I reckon it's a great addition to their product line, to what was in fact already quite an exciting lifestyle brand.

SOME BANGING CHARITY HEADPHONES

Since 2004, BREAD & BUTTER BERLIN have had charity stands at their famous tradeshow events, where limited collection items are on sale. The money will help Charity Foundation Die Arche, set up for under-privileged children of Berlin. And the item of sale this year is this pictured headphone set from WeSC. Part of WeSC's MARACA line, this all-black headset brings with it a modernised retro feel. It looks so divine in that it is the king of all headphones. Maybe it's the pitch blackness of it, but it almost seems untouchable, as if you're not allowed to experience its holiness. The earcups are well-padded, finished with leather and the iconic BBB logo sits at the heart. My god are these handsome. In terms of sound, these are the best of the WeSC collection with 30mm drivers of 120 dB sensitivity.
BBB's WINTER 2010 event runs from the 20th to the 22nd January in Berlin. You can catch some of the world's top contemporary sport and street clothes collections, and if you are going, do get your hands on these headphones too, cause remember it's not only for your benefit.
