THE XX REMIXED BY FOUR TET

No fucking way!! I just found out about this super collaboration between The XX and Four Tet - artists who have both been featured on this site recently. I had no idea they worked together, but it seems sound-crazy Four Tet has been remixing "VCR". Apparently it was released last week.

It's so so amazing. Like, I don't think I can handle this right now, just as I prepare to rest ahead of what's going to be a packed day tomorrow in the world of medical school. Up at 7, urgh. Anyways, here's a clip from YouTube so listen!

THERE IS LOVE IN YOU

FOUR TET released his new album yesterday. And it's awesome. THERE IS LOVE IN YOU is the title. The music runs along the lines between electronica and alternative rock.. in my opinion. Similar to The XX (who by the way are fantastic). Whatever it is, I like it. The guy's been around since 2001, when it seemed like all he was doing was experimenting with instruments and computer noises. Now he's grown and evolved into a more intuitive, sophisticated artist, challenging new rhythms, new beats and new sounds.
This album comes more than a year after his previous work and it's a fresh sight to the ear. You should definitely check it out. It's out now.
