RONNIE FIEG x QUINTIN PENDLETON WOOL CAPS
New York footwear designer Ronnie Fieg has worked with Quintin to bring these new 6 panel caps for Winter '11. Made from wool, they feature classic Pendleton patterns on a clean monotone base. It's one of my more preferred headwear releases this season, providing cute colour and vibrancy whilst maintaining an understated, cool winter look. Available now in NYC, they'll be hitting select retailers in the UK at the end of the month.

MONKSTONE KNITWEAR FLOCK HAT
Founded in 2010, young wool makers Monkstone work a sustainable and natural design process, spinning wool from sheep on their farm in West Wales. Each season's collection is totally dependent on the yarn from the sheep and the range reflects the organic nature of the farm.
Following their principles and using their methods, Monkstone have just released their winter hat, hand knitted and available in three styles of yarn. Of course 100% wool, the locally sourced, designed and produced hats are beautiful pieces of head accessory, soft and comfy, to be worn with pride. A brand to look out for, the wool market should keep a close eye.

PRESENT LAMBSWOOL BEANIE LINEN
Shoreditch menswear store Present have released their own line of 100% lambswool beanies in linen for Winter '11. They're made in Scotland and it seems like a must have. Kept very simple, the beanie has a really appealing sense of elegance and cute style to it, where the material quality speaks for itself. With eight colours to choose from, you can find your expression too and accessorise up for the winter season in style.

HUF LEATHER CIRCLE H SNAPBACK AW11
These snapback 5 panel baseball caps are part of HUF's Autumn/Winter 2011 hat collection, available in a deep blue or black colourway. Now I'm not convinced about denim headwear but the blue one's quite nice, the 8oz indigo denim fabric combined with the stamped leather H logo looks a decent match. If you're looking for something a little different and querky to add to your cold season hat collection then this may be the one for you, available now at £30.
