DAVID BECKHAM BODYWEAR FOR H&M
Today finally saw the official release of the widely acknowledged underwear collaboration between H&M and David Beckham. The latter has been venturing in the fashion sector over recent years, most prominently with main sponsor adidas, but he has now put his name on quality mens' bodywear with the massive UK fashion retailer H&M.
The collection features quite a range of garments, everything from briefs and boxers to tees and long johns. Simply designed and coloured, they're not actually very exciting. But that's the thing, it's underwear after all, and I think it hits the right notes in terms of function and quality. The attention is focused on detail, comfort and fit, the essentials in our essentials. It's for this reason that this is a great debut collection, and with the brand's global reach (not to mention the collab partner's global name too), we will be enjoying it worldwide.

OBYO JAMES BOND FOR DAVID BECKHAM SS12
adidas Originals' hit collaboration line with David Beckham and Undefeated's James Bond continue to keep strong, and we may only have just tasted the beginning of winter, but they've already released this preview lookbook for their Spring/Summer 2012 drop. It showcases glimpses of the gear for the sophisticated sportsman's sunshine look, featuring the now expected elegance and quality craft. I like how the jacket and crew neck sweat are looking. Watch out for further information and details soon, because clearly it's ready to go.

LA GALAXY MLS CUP WINNERS 2011
Five years on since his transfer to the Los Angeles Galaxy, David Beckham got his first piece of silverware in America, lifting the MLS Cup last night having beaten Houston Dynamo 1-0. Having made the switch from Real Madrid in order to expand soccer in the US, he's probably enjoyed a pretty successful time with attention on the MLS bigger than ever, larger crowds and more headlines, and an increase in world class players (think Henry, Keane, etc). It's great for him to claim a winners' medal too, just as he has done at Real and Man Utd.
The focus will now turn to Beckham's future as his contract with the Galaxy is almost up. Yet to officially disclose whether he will renew it or start a new venture, there's plenty of intrigue for the 36 year old former England captain. Wherever he chooses though, I'm sure he'll still be playing his top game and drawing success, as he looks to lead out Team GB in London 2012.

DAVID BECKHAM x HYPEBEAST CONCLUSION
As the three-part interview completes, football superstar and fashion icon David Beckham has revealed to Hypebeast his most important items, his essentials. The Goyard card holder is cool, the Jaguar is cool, his adidas ObyO selection is cool. But I'm left slightly sour looking at his duo of Samsung gadgets, cool but could be cooler, in the form of a bitten apple.
Looking at his chosen apparel from his collaboration range with Undefeated, the Fleece Crew Sweater is an excellent simple crew neck in a lush tone of blue, made with premium fleece jersey cotton. It's complemented finely by the leather Doley Lux sneakers which has suede toe and heel pieces, and finished with subtle perforated branding. A great choice of essentials.
In conclusion, I want to be David Beckham.

DAVID BECKHAM HYPEBEAST TV PART 3
In the final part of David Beckham's interview for Hypebeast TV, he talks about L.A. Galaxy, the growth of football in the US, AC Milan, and his collection with James Bond for adidas Originals. The series has looked at how he sees his sport and fashion, the relationship between them, and also his role almost as an ambassador in the two worlds. A great insight into one of the world's greatest football players ever. Watch Part 1 and Part 2 here.
I think it's worth mentioning how he's got this brilliant technique of being arrogant but coming across humble and modest. Remember, talking about his ObyO collections with UNDEFEATED, he's telling us what amazing products he's making and how "people love it", "the best I've ever seen". Joker. I do quite like the range though to be fair. And he says there's more to come.

DAVID BECKHAM HYPEBEAST TV PART 2
Part 2 of the interview was released on Hypebeast's website today, where Becks talks about Real Madrid, his adidas boots, players' styles and teamplay. Check out Part 1 here.
I do despise how he says "soccer".

DAVID BECKHAM HYPEBEAST TV PART 1
Hypebeast TV has hooked up with the football legend that is David Beckham and today dropped the first part of three in a series where he talks about his views toward the sport and to fashion. "Journey to L.A." it's called. He's a huge icon for me personally, my favourite player for sure, and it's great to see him share his thoughts.
In Part 1, he's asked about himself as a player, his interest in fashion, his time at Manchester United and the relationship between fashion and 'soccer'. He gives a massive boost for adidas, stating they're the "biggest" manufacturers - he's getting love for that for sure! Anyway it's a nice candid interview and you check the special page too. Part 2 coming soon.

THE ROYAL WEDDING 2011
Prince William and Kate Middleton today wed before the world, with some more keen than others. I personally quite enjoyed the buzz and hype for this historical day, as I watched the events unfold with a sense of proudness.
Catherine looked amazing, William was balder than I thought, the Queen was cute.
David Beckham's look was too cool. He looked cool with his new current hair, cool in his Ralph Lauren Purple Label tailor-made suit, cool with an OBE medal ha. Though, apparently it was on the wrong side of his jacket. And this Jonathan Ross tweet is fantastic: "Elton John is looking more and more like Churchill the insurance dog every day..."
It was a super fine ceremony and a wedding most people dream of. And with Ellie Goulding at the evening reception! Oh my..
Proud to be British indeed.

PREMIUM GAZELLE VINTAGE MIDS
I posted these shoes when they first came out I think for the spring collection or something. They're the Gazelle Vintage Mid DBs, part of my beloved ObyO David Beckham designed by James Bond collection by adidas Originals.
After a successful release with colourways in red, blue, and my favourite white, these Fall/Winter versions come in solid premium leather, and together with the all white outer sole, it is a thing of class and beauty. The quality is top notch and it is oh so aesthetically pleasing. I heart it.

OBYO BOND FOR BECKHAM FW10
adidas Originals ObyO James Bond for David Beckham is a collaboration I've been tracking since its launch back in October last year and I just love what they produce. David Beckham is a massive idol personally, and the collaboration with UNDFTD's James Bond is so sleek and current.
This is a preview of what's to come in the Fall/Winter collection 2010. These are a pair of full leather sneakers with a two tone scheme of black and tan brown. Just so elegant, simple and beautiful. We'll have to see how pricing goes but if it follows some of the previous footwear from this collection, I would expect it to be between £110 to £135. Pricey perhaps but so gorgeous. They will hit the Originals stores in July.

DAVID BECKHAM SUFFERS MAJOR INJURY

Absolutely gutted. I mean really gutted. David Beckham has torn his achilles tendon and is set to be out for at least 4 months. He felt it during yesterday's win with AC Milan and is said to have been stretchered off, crying 'it's broken, it's broken'. Really really sad. This makes him unavailable for this summer's World Cup - a massive disappointment for both the team and himself - and the injury also puts a doubt over his career.
Beckham has continued to show his passion for England, and he's been vying for a place in the squad this summer by returning to Serie A to regularly play at the highest level, on loan from LA Galaxy. He may be a veteran lacking in pace, but the magic that he is able to produce when right foot meets ball is still the best in the world. It's an attribute that the team would have benefited from, in contrast to the speed and skill that several younger players have shown. It's just a huge blow for him not to be invloved in his fourth consecutive World Cup tournament. As a fan, I am truly gutted that I cannot look forward to seeing his talent, but more importantly, I can only sympathasise with him because it is clear to everyone just how much this would have meant to him.
Now, regarding the future of his career as a footballer, there is now a large question mark whether he will be able to recover. Will he still have the motivation to return? I'd like to think so. His love for the game is beautiful to see and I'm sure this love will spur him on to get back as soon as possible and show off his sensational gift once more. Leonardo, the manager of AC Milan, has already stated that they would happily offer him a return, if and when he regains fitness to play.
He has already spoken with Fabio Capello who I understand has given him words of comiseration. It must be a disappointment for the England boss too, as I am sure Beckham was an assured player to be on the plane to South Africa. In fact, I think it would be of great help to the squad if he would still make the journey with the squad to offer his priceless experience. I believe his presence alone would be an excellent morale-booster and support.
Anyways, Beckham has been an inspiration to so many people, including myself, and I would hate not to him play again. I urge him to get well soon.

JAMES BOND FOR DAVID BECKHAM
My long-awaited Spring/Summer 2010 range from the ADIDAS ORIGINALS BY ORIGINALS JAMES BOND FOR DAVID BECKHAM collection has been revealed. Returning for its second season, the partners of football icon David Beckham and James Bond of UNDEFEATED have produced a clean and contemporary line using a simple colour palette. I think the styles are a cool, sophisticated brand of sportswear.
The grey hooded top is so elegant and looks really light. It was warn by Beckham himself in the launch party last year. He also wore on his feet the white colourway of the sneakers pictured. The boat shoe looks so awesome and I love the non-extrovert stripes. These shoes are so clean, smart and beautiful. Absolutely love the red base too.
I think the collection is so subtly branded that they can be worn easily in a somewhat active lifestyle. The set should be released soon in flagship stores worldwide.
