CAPELLO DECIDES AGAINST JOHN TERRY

It has been confirmed today that Chelsea skipper John Terry will no longer be the England captain, as we prepare for the World Cup in summer. It comes after the media revealed Terry's affair with then-girlfriend of Wayne Bridge. Terry has a wife and two kids. The allegations came out last week and where we are now is that Carlo Ancelotti fully backs Terry as Chelsea captain but his armband has been stripped from Fabio Capello. Rio Ferdinand will now step up to captain the side, along with vice-captain Steven Gerrard.
What do I think? As a fan of Chelsea and England, I'm disappointed, sad and kinda angry. John Terry is indisputably the country's best leader on the football pitch and that is what's important. I know United fans will say Rio is the man, but with the most unbiased opinion, I strongly believe that John Terry is the greater captain. By far.
Now I can understand that Bridge wouldn't be to happy training and playing along side Terry as captain, but to be honest it doesn't really make a difference now that he isn't the captain. They still have to train together.. By no means am I claiming that Terry has done no wrong, of course he has. He's committed adultery. But the punishment should remain within the court and not into the football world. Private life is separate from career. And if anyone knows how to draw that line, it's Terry. He proved that by scoring Chelsea's late winner against Burnley two days after the first allegations were made.
So yeah, quite frankly I'm really disappointed by the decision. Plus, Rio Ferdinand isn't even fit. And when he does play, he has been really unstable at the back recently. Mistakes for England, mistakes for Man Utd. Is he really a great player now? Hmm. I personally don't think he is in the condition to be in the starting XI for England to be honest. Anyways, now England's preparations have struck a pause, if not a slight downfall, and it's down to Capello and Ferdinand to get us going. My expectations are high for the World Cup and I just hope this decision doesn't turn out to be hugely costly. I think it's Capello's first big mistake.
Of course, you can tell me what you think.
