Today is the release for these cool sneakers from adidas Originals and New York retailer DQM. Back in December, they collaborated to produce an all-black New York-inspired edition of the ZX runner, part of the Consortium City Series 2 Pack from adidas. And now, for the warmer season that is to come, they have chosen to revamp the subtle Rod Laver OG. The upper is made of leather and mesh and it's finished very clean and very simple. The only branding appears at the tongue which features the Trefoil and the DQM logo, as well as the Consortium logo at the heel. I think the lack of the Three Stripes just adds to the simplicity appeal and gives the shoe a polished look.
With quality leather, suede touches, and the use of refreshing colours, these sneakers are a beautiful luxury and rather awesome. Available in lemon, green and navy, each with matching ankle tab and herringbone outsole, they're perfect to wear in summer with flexibility of the bottoms. I love the vintage premium feel that these sneakers bring through the choice in colourway, material and design; simple simple simple. You can get them now from adidas Consortium retailers. As of today!
