It was the first Premier League fixture of the year for us yesterday, having had the Hull game last week postponed. Sunderland were are unlucky opponents. Unlucky because we destroyed them.
December was poor where we claimed just 9 out of 18 possible points, and we wanted to move on as quickly as possible. The FA Cup tie with Watford, which we comfortably won 5-0, was a great way to kick the year off.
And we continued to show that superb form and beat our opponents 7-2. Playing some of the best football of the weekend, the players passed, moved, connected, flowed and awesomed. Anelka scored two, as did Lampard, while Malouda, Ashley Cole and Ballack each got a goal. And may I say, Ashley Cole scored the best of the lot. He is playing unbelievably well this season and has had a couple of goals already. But the one he finished yesterday was world class. Terry's exquistly placed long pass was taken beautifully first time by Cole, who then fooled the defender before chipping the goalkeeper to score. Who needs Didier Drogba when Cole can do that. Best fucking left back in the world. Yeah suck on that Evra. Anyways the four African guys certainly weren't missed and hopefully we can keep going. Here's that amazing goal from Ash..
