NIKE GET FESTIVE CHINESE STYLE

14th February marks the Chinese NEW YEAR for 2010 as we prepare for the year of the TIGER. NIKE collaborate with Singaporean-born designer SBTG of ROYALEFAM to produce three super sexy, mega hot, uber crazy shoes to mark the occasion. His inspiration has apparently come from this 1941 American volunteer group in the Chinese Air Force called the 'Flying Tigers' or something.
The FLYING TIGER premium model comes in AIR FORCE 1 and DUNK HI as well as the ROYALEFAM PREMIUM FLYING TIGER. The Flying Tiger (the grey one above) features freehand illustrations, and all three models have the metal vent monogram on the side, beneath the swoosh, which itself has been customised on the former two shoes with a tiger camo. The designs reflect the powerful, fierce and aggresive nature of the tiger, while at the same time, its elegance and beauty is also represented.
Now I'm not sure about release information and availability, but the ROYALEFAM site has the FLYING TIGER on sale at a huge $500. But then you realise just how much precision and dedication is put in to these sneakers, when you read "Due to the intricacies involved, please allow up to 3 weeks for your shoes to be finished".
